About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The journal «Ekonomichnyy analiz» is a peer-reviewed publication that supports the policy of open access to scientific publications.

The main purpose of the journal is to publish the results of scientific researches of domestic and foreign scientists in the field of national economy, management, finance, business economy, information support of management systems, accounting, analysis and audit.

This journal invites original research on the following topics:

  • Theoretical aspects of economic analysis

  • Economic analysis at the macro and meso level
  • Theoretical and practical aspects of the analysis in finance
  • Economic analysis in activities of banking institutions
  • Theory and practice of investment analysis
  • Economic analysis in the management of companies
  • Problems and prospects of development of the information base of economic analysis.

Open Access

Following the principle that knowledge is a public good, the journal adheres to the BOAI definition of open access: that users have the right to "read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles".

The Editors welcome any papers from scholars, teachers, managers, specialists of national economy, businessmen, graduate students.

The journal is intended for specialists, who are interested in theoretical and applied problems of economics, management, finance, accounting, analysis and auditing, allows the scientific community to get acquainted with the results of scientific research.

Peer Review Process

1. The review procedure is anonymous for both the reviewer and the authors and it is carried out by two independent reviewers (double «blind» review).


2. All reviewers must follow  ethical requirements in the scientific publications of the Committee on Publication Ethics and be objective and unprejudiced.

3. The review covers the following issues:

  • The correspondence of the content of the articleto itstitle;
  • The conformity of the article with thematic directions of the journal;
  • The relevance of the research topic and the presence in the content of the article elements of novelty;
  • The expediency of publication of the article in view of the interest of a wide range of readers;
  • The clarity of the wording of the purpose of the article;
  • The correspondence of article to the scientific level of the journal;
  • The availability of substantiated conclusions and directions for further research;
  • The shortcomings ( if they are presentspecify which corrections and additions should be made by the author)

4. The scientific articles are allowed to be reviewed only if they are written  in accordance with«the requirements for the articles»that shows up at the primary control of editorial board. If there are some remarks  at the stage of primary control, the article may be returned to the authors with a note « the technical requirements have not been met».

5. If the article complies the above requirements, the manuscript of the article is transmitted to the issuing editor.

6. The issuing editor carries out the coding of the article by assigning it the registration code and removes from it the information about the author.

7. The encoded article is sent by e-mailto:

  1. The member of the editorial board responsible for scientific direction on the topic of the article;
  2. The external reviewer;

Ukrainian and foreign doctors of sciences (Ph. D.) who have scientific works on the issues stated in the article are invited to external review.On behalf of the editorial office such  scientist are  sent a letter requesting a review. The encoded article and a typical review form are attached to the letter.

The external reviewer is chosen randomly, taking into account his current program ofwork and with his consent.

8. The member of the editorial board and the external reviewer who received the encoded article fill in the standard form anddepending on the result of the review, choose one of the variants of the recommendation: recommended for printing,  recommended modifying,   not recommended for printing.
9. In the case of a refusal or need to modify a reviewer/ the member  of the editorial board must provide a written reasoned explanation of the reasons for that decision.

10. The period of review and preparation of recommendations is  two weeks since the receipt of the article.

11. The reviewers’ recommendations  are sent by e-mail to the issuing editor.

12. The final decision on the article is taken at a meeting of the editorial board held once a month in the composition of the chief editor, deputy editor and issuing editor. decisions are made taking into account the received reviews.


13. The further work with the article recommended for publication is held by the editorial staff in accordance with the technological process of preparation of the issue of the journal.

14. The editorial decision is directed to the author. Thearticles thatshould be edited are sent to the author together with the text of the reviews containing specific recommendations for the modifying of the article. The anonymity of the reviewers is guaranteed by the editorial staff of the journal.

15. Revised version of the article is directed to re-review in case of repeated negative review  the article is rejected and not subject to further consideration.

16. The editorial board does not hold discussions with the authors of the rejected articles.

17. Reviews and recommendations for each article are kept in the editorial office electronically within three years since the date of publication of the journal which contains the reviewed article.

18. Are not reviewed:

1. Articles written by the authors ( co-authors) who are members of editorial office and editorial board of the journal.

2. Articles specially written by the editorial order.

Publication Frequency

The submission deadlines of the journal «Ekonomichnyy analiz»:

  • Issue № 1 until February 15 of the current year.
  • Issue № 2 until May 16  of the current year.
  • Issue № 3 until October 10 of the current year
  • Issue № 4 until December 10 of the current year.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal is practicing a policy of immediate open access to published content is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution  International 4.0 (CC-BY-NC 4.0), supporting the principles of the free flow of scientific information and global exchange of knowledge to the general social progress.

The journal «Ekonomichnyy analiz» is an open access journal, which means all its content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are able to read, download, copy and distribute content for educational and scientific purposes with obligatory indication of authorship. The journal is licensed by Creative Commons Attribution  International 4.0 (CC-BY-NC 4.0).

Publication policies

Publishing an article in the professional journal «Ekonomichnyy analiz» the authors  confirm, that:

  • the author has all rights on it and the consent of coauthors on а publication, giving right to the publisher of the journal for publicity of these materials in the printed and electronic version;
  • the authors agree to the politics of this professional edition concerning impossibility of a publication return in case of it recall and they refuse from claims against a publisher concerning the recall of the article.

Grounds for refusal to review the article

  • there is no complete package of supporting documents;
  • the article does not meet the requirements of the publication;
  • the topic of the article does not fit the journal's profile;
  • title of the article does not correspond to the content;
  • the article is written at a low scientific level;
  • the material has been fully or partially published previously in other publications or submitted to other editions;
  • the article is completely or partially alien (the author plagiarized);
  • the material is promotional in nature;
  • the problem raised in the article has lost its relevance.

Publication Ethics

The editorial board takes measures for providing high ethical and professional standards in accordance with “Principles of transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing”, as well as “Publishing Ethics Resource Kit (PERK) for editors”.

The publication ethics of the journal supports the principles of ethics of the editor and the publisher, the reviewer, author of the scientific publication, which were developed by the Committee on Publishing Ethics (COPE) and can be found in “Codes of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors”: www.publicationethics.org.

Principles of Editor and Publisher Ethics

When deciding on publication, the editorial board is guided by the reliability of the data submitted and the scientific significance of the work under consideration.

The intellectual content of manuscripts is evaluated regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, origin, nationality, social status or political views of the authors.

Unpublished data obtained from submitted manuscripts are not used for personal purposes and are not communicated to third parties without the written consent of the author. Information from the submitted manuscripts remains confidential and is not used for personal gain.

The editorial does not publish a manuscript if there is reason to believe that it is a plagiarized one.

The editorial board does not leave unanswered claims related to reviewed manuscripts or published materials, and when a conflict occurs, it takes all necessary measures to restore the infringed rights.

Principles of Reviewer Ethics

A manuscript received for review is treated as a confidential document that can not be communicated to a third party who is not authorized by the editorial board for review or discussion.

The reviewer gives an objective and reasoned assessment of the results of the study. Personal criticism of the author is unacceptable.

Unpublished data obtained from submitted manuscripts is not used by a reviewer for personal purposes.

A reviewer who is not, in his opinion, qualified to assess the manuscript, or can not be objective, for example in the case of a conflict of interest with the author or organization must inform the editorial and ask it to be excluded from the review process of this manuscript.

Principles of Ethics of Scientific Publication Author

The author(s) of the article must provide reliable results of the research. Consistent submission of false or fraudulent data is unacceptable.

The author must ensure that the results of the study, set forth in the manuscript submitted, are completely original. The borrowed data must be given with the obligatory indication of the author and the original source. Excessive borrowings, as well as plagiarism in any form, including nonformalized citations, rephrasing or appropriation of rights to the results of the research of others, are unethical and unacceptable.

The contribution of all persons who have influenced the study process in one way or another should be acknowledged, in particular, reference should be made to the works that were relevant to the research.

The authors should not submit for publishing a manuscript that has previously been submitted to another edition and is currently under consideration, as well as an article already published in another edition.

The co-authors of the article should include all persons who have made a significant contribution to the research. Among co-authors it is unacceptable to indicate persons who did not participate in the study.

If the author finds significant errors or inaccuracies in the article at the stage of its consideration or after its publication, he should as soon as possible inform the editorial staff.

Conflict-of-Interest Statement for publications

The journal «Ekonomichnyy analiz» is dedicated to following the highest ethical principles of scholarly publishing and promoting highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct in research and its evaluation. To uphold these principles, it is important to follow the policy for addressing potential conflicts of interest.

Authors must declare all potential interests - whether they really have had an influence - in the "Conflicts of Interest" section, which should explain why the interest may be a conflict. If there are none, the authors should state "The author (s) declare (s) that there is no conflict of interest with respect to the publication of this article." Submitting authors are responsible for co-authors declaring their interests. Declared conflicts of interest will be considered by the editor and reviewers and included in the published article.

Plagiarism policy

The journal "Ekonomichnyy analiz" are committed to publishing only original material, i.e., material that has neither been published elsewhere, nor is under review elsewhere. The journal "Ekonomichnyy analiz" uses software to detect instances of overlapping and similar text in submitted manuscripts. Manuscripts that are found to have been plagiarized from a manuscript by other authors, whether published or unpublished, will incur plagiarism sanctions.

Plagiarism before publication

The journal "Ekonomichnyy analiz" will judge any case of plagiarism on its own merits. If plagiarism is detected, either by the editors, peer reviewers or editorial staff at any stage before publication of a manuscript - before or after acceptance, during editing or at page proof stage, we will alert the author(s), asking her or him to either rewrite the text or quote the text exactly and to cite the original source. If the plagiarism is extensive - that is, if at least 30 % of the original submission is plagiarized - the article may be rejected and the author's institution/employer notified.

Policy of checking for plagiarism

The manuscripts in which plagiarism is detected are handled based on the extent of plagiarism present in the manuscript: if < 30 % plagiarism – the manuscript is immediately sent back to the  authors for content revision, and if >30 % plagiarism – the manuscript is rejected without editorial review. The authors are advised to revise the plagiarized parts of the manuscript and resubmit it as a fresh manuscript.

The percentage of plagiarism is calculated by software and also assessed manually.

Plagiarism after publication

If plagiarism is detected after publication, the Journal will conduct an investigation. If plagiarism is found, the journal editorial office will contact the author's institute and funding agencies. The paper containing the plagiarism will be marked on each page of the PDF. Depending on the extent of the plagiarism, the paper may also be formally retracted.

For testing of plagiarism software is used: Plagiarism Detector, AntiPlagiarism.NET, eTXT.
