The investment function of the intellectual services: theoretical bases for determining the content and ways of implementation

Introduction. Relevance of research investment function of intellectual services and directions for its implementation is caused by the leading role of professional knowledge and information that make their content as resources of socioe-conomic development on the basis of innovation.
Purpose. Justification of characteristics of intelligent investment resources services as an innovative development of national economy and disclosure of the basis of the content of their investment functions have become the purpose of the study.
The method (methodology). Research of investment function of intellectual services has been carried out on methodological basis of structural-functional and object-process approaches to the analysis of socio-economic phenomena.
Results. Among the functions of intellectual services as the directions of their socio-economic role of the producer and supplier we can single out the following ones: capital formation, resourcing, retransmission, knowledge-intagration, innovation, investment ones. By functional criterion the intellectual services are capital-creating, resourse-providing services that relay and integrate professional knowledge and information. They are the key factor of innovation and intellectual investments views. In structural and functional aspects this segment of services is a set of intelligent services, that are combined by their intangible nature, knowledge meaning and role as a factor of social and economic development, which is implemented in their functions. It consists of educational, health care, scientific and technical consulting services.
As for objective approach their characteristics as intelligent investment goods, facilities investment, a special type of intellectual investment areembodied in content of investment function of intellectual services.
In the context of the investment approach the investment function processing is the use of intellectual services by business entities as investment resources. The investment function of intellectual services covers many areas of their use as intelligent investment products. We can single out among them the formation and accumulation of intellectual capital of the firm. On the one hand, the costs of firm for the intellectual services that enhance the professional level, spiritual and physical development of employees, the formation and accumulation of information resources of business can be determined as its investments in intellectual capital. On the other hand, the use of knowledge and information that constitute the content of intellectual services, in manufacturing and innovation process is the intellectual investment, that is the investment of intellectual capital that provides the cost and increasse revenue.
