The prospects of industrial cooperation between Heilongjiang province of China (PRC) and Russia

Introduction. In 2014, China and Russia have decided to make new efforts to enhance cooperation and its expansion, including the financial, commercial and industrial areas at the interregional level. This fact updates the research in the field of economic cooperation of both countries taking into account the characteristics of individual regions of China, which are the most optimal in the business sector.
Purpose. The aim of the article is to analyze the new stage of industrial cooperation between Heilongjiang Province of China (PRC) and Russia and to determine the possibility of effective development of relations in the industrial and logistics sector.
Methodology. We have analysed the factors which are to promote closer cooperation in the field of macroeconomic policy, to increase mutual investment, to deepen cooperation in the oil sector, to improve cooperation in the field of high technologies with the activation of the scientific and technological exchanges, to expand agricultural cooperation. We have focused on the fact that the new direction of economic cooperation is to promote regional cooperation, which will contribute to the efficient development of cross-border transport infrastructure. It has been carried the analysis of the separate branches of economy, which are the most favorable in terms of cooperation between People’s Republic of China and the Russian Federation.
Results. The priority areas for international cooperation of China and Russia are defined. In particular, we have considered the scientific and technical cooperation (electrical and engineering industries); prospects in the energy sector, in the forestry sector; mutual participation in large projects, the opening of technological parks. Taking into account the new realities it has been presented a proposal for the development of trade and economic relations and the improvement of innovation activity between Heilongjiang Province and Russia. The methods for optimization of border development are proposed. The greater opportunities to the business at a regional level are grounded.
